This hat begins with the band, it's worked back and forth in rows, but joined at the end of each round, then turned to create the ribbed effect. The rise of the hat is then worked even, in the round without turning. The crown of the hat can be made in 2 ways — lacy and open, or in ridges, matching the band.
They're so comfortable and easy to make.
