A vintage inspired cardigan worthy of your most precious buttons from Grandmother’s stash. Grannie Smith features a diamond lace stitch with picot trimmed edges for a pretty vintage feel. Two options for sleeve length and yarn are given. Version A (green sweater) is knit in Kid Silk haze with a 3/4 sleeve. Version B (purple sweater) is knit in Lanas Puras, a hand dyed fingering weight yarn with an elbow sleeve.

Yarn:
  • Version A: Rowan Kidsilk Haze (70% super kid mohair/30% silk; 229yds/ 210m per 25g skein); color: Jelly 597; 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6) balls
  • Version B: Lanas Puras Melosa Fingering Weight (100% Merino Wool; 440yds/402m per 100g skein); color Eggplant; 3 (3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins
    • Needles:
  • 1 pair US size 4 (3.50mm) straight needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Version A: 1 pair US size 3 (3.25mm) circular needle any length longer than 16”/40.5cm
  • Version B: 1 pair US size 4 (3.50mm) circular needle any length longer than 16”/40.5cm
